Medication-Assisted Treatment (M.A.T.)

Harmony Health provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients with Opioid Use Disorder. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. We provide a range of services to reduce, eliminate,  or prevent the use of illicit drugs and the spread of infectious diseases. We focus on improving the quality of life of those receiving treatment. Research shows that a combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these disorders, and for some people struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery. Patients have two pathways to enter our MAT program. Patients from the community who are initiated on Suboxone via the ER (Adventist Health and Rideout) can be referred to our clinic for ongoing care. The second path is for existing patients. Our existing patients can speak with their Primary Care Provider (PCP) about the MAT program. Patients receiving Suboxone must be assigned to Harmony Health as their Primary Medical Home. Once enrolled in our MAT program, patients will receive a thorough evaluation and assessment to determine their level of substance use and overall health care needs.

Services that patients who are in our MAT program receive are:

  • Assigned with a DATA 2000- waivered PCP who can address their total health care needs

  • Assigned a Case Manager for coordination of care

  • Have access to psychiatry and behavioral health counseling

  • Have access to a weekly Support Group

If you are interested in learning more about our MAT program, or any of our treatment programs at Harmony Health, please speak to your PCP or contact the clinic directly.
